The display has a Self Calibrating Forecast that pulls data from the sensor in your backyard to give you the most accurate weather forecasts for your exact location. Temperatures and humidity play a large part in the health of your home. Too high of humidity can cause mold to grow to make your home unhealthy for you and your loved ones. The weather display reads your indoor temperature and humidity so that you always know the health of your home. Maximum sensor distance is 450 feet from display (915mhz). The Indoor console uses a wall outlet with optional backup battery. The outdoor sensor is hybrid powered by 3 A batteries and a solar panel (lasts up to 2.5 years). The Console displays a full color LCD. This Weather Station has both imperial/metric units of measure. The WiFi: b/g/n, 2.4 ghz. The transmission interval every 12 seconds measures UV, light intensity, wind speed and wind direction. Every 24 seconds measures temperature, humidity, and rain.
